Artist Bio: Lisa Winter ~ Artist of A Thousand WordZ

Lisa Winter artist bio

Lisa Winter graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Art, June 2009. This is her first postgraduate show. She has been an artist of infinite mediums since early childhood and has recently gravitated towards printmaking. A few topics that inspire her art include: animal and human rights, class segregation, and bike culture. Many of the pieces she is displaying at May Day: The Second Coming comment on modern society’s treatment of the working class. She has taken the past 9 months to get settled in her career and hopes to use this experience to get back into the production of political art that will inspire others.
